It seems like only a few days since Firefox was updated to version 2.0.0.5 but the ever busy development team had to release the new version earlier because of a ecently discovered bug in the Windows version of Firefox. The new version is already available on the Mozilla homepage and the automatic update routine is also reporting version 2.0.0.6 as the latest version already.

The mozilla team has released a new version of Firefox which can already be downloaded from the Help > Check for Updates menu in Firefox or downloaded from the official download site. Three critical, two high, one moderate and two low security vulnerabilities have been fixed in this release making it a must have update for every Firefox user.

If you are like me and would like to upgrade important software as early as possible you might want to head over to the mozilla ftp site and download the latest version of Firefox which is 2.0.0.3. The latest versions always appear first on ftp and on the mirror sites before it gets announced on the official Firefox website. Update Information become available at the same time the homepage gets the update.
