I have not done any tests lately that would reveal the speed of each of the new upcoming browsers. The latest official builds have been tested, they are at the time of the test: Opera 9.5 build 9815/1834, Firefox 3 Gran Paradiso beta 4 and Internet Explorer 8 beta 1. I have been using the Webwait application for this test which monitors page loading times of pages that you select.

Firefox 3 Beta 4 is currently distributed [thanks Ryan to all Mozilla mirror websites and it is only a matter of time when the announcement will be made official on the Mozilla homepage. Early adopters can already download this version from a handful of selected official mirror websites. more cautious users can wait until the release is available on the official homepage as well.

The third beta of the upcoming browser Firefox 3 has been released by the Mozilla Firefox team and is available for download in all supported languages and for all three operating systems on the official website. The setup file has a size of 6.65 Megabytes in Windows and downloads are astonishingly fast if you consider that Mozilla servers are normally overrun and crawling whenever a new Firefox release hits the net.
