Several websites are already reporting the release of the final Firefox 2.0.0.10 version. While this version seems to be indeed the final version it is not available widely on the primary and secondary Mozilla mirror ftp servers. The main server at mozilla.org is giving an interesting Permission Denied error when opting to download the latest Firefox 2 release.

The Mozilla team finally uploaded version 2.0 final of Firefox to the ftp servers with the web servers surely to following not later than tomorrow. If you want to be one of the first to download the new final version I suggest you do so with the links for: Windows or Mac / Linux.

You can download it as usual from the offical website in many different languages and for windows, macintosh and linux. No word on the official pages about the changes in this version, just wait a few days and they surely add some additional information.

Seems to be a day for release candidates to go public. After Microsoft released their Vista release candidate 2 the Mozilla team released theirs of the upcoming firefox 2 browser. The following page lists all available downloads for the release candidate 2, many languages and versions for linux, mac and windows. All versions are around 18 megabytes in size.

The firefox team released a first alpha version of the upcoming firefox 2.0 browser to the public. You can take a look at the projects website and download the alpha version. Take note that it could be unstable on your system.
