uTorrent 1.7 beta
A new beta version of the famous bittorrent client uTorrent has been released to the public yesterday. The biggest change should be full Windows Vista support but the changelog reports dozens of new features, changes and fixes for the new beta. I don’t want to list all of the changes that have been made, just take a look for yourself if you are interested. I do know that some of you will not use uTorrent anymore because of its affiliation with Bittorent, this is understandable and this post is mainly for those users who simply do not care about it or think it is not a big deal (yet).
Badango free upload and search service
I found another upload service that lets you upload videos and images to their directory. They have no information on upload limits, only that the files will be on their server as long as they do not violate their Terms of Service.
They offer a sitesearch where you can search the site for images and videos (adult content optional). I don´t know if your uploaded files are automatically added to their sitesearch or if you have to enable it seperately.
Bertelsmann to launch legal file-sharing system
Bertelsmann will soon launch their decentralized peer-to-peer network GNAB (bang) to Germany by the end of the year and other countries in 2006. The source files will be hosted on centralized servers, consumers only have access to the system when they go through a particular partner or company.
