Two scenarios exist that result in a false value being shown as the result of a calculation. If the result of a calculation is a number between 65534.99999999995 to 65535 the result will be shown as 100000 instead.</p><p>The second scenario is that the result of a calculation is a number between 65535.99999999995 to 65536 which will display the result as 100001 instead. You can try it for yourself if you do a calculation of 77.1 x 850 for instance. Use the build in Windows calculator for instance to calculate the numbers and afterwards Microsoft Excel 2007.</p><p>You will see the difference immediately. Please note that only Excel 2007 is affected. Microsoft admitted that this was a display error and that Excel 2007 would use the correct figure. Microsoft released a 34 Megabyte hotfix for Excel 2007 which corrects this problem.</p><p><span
