We’ve received notes from gamers, active military, and friends and family of servicemen and women currently deployed overseas. The majority of this feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. For this, the Medal of Honor team is deeply appreciative.

However, we have also received feedback from friends and families of fallen soldiers who have expressed concern over the inclusion of the Taliban in the multiplayer portion of our game. This is a very important voice to the Medal of Honor team. This is a voice that has earned the right to be listened to. It is a voice that we care deeply about. Because of this, and because the heartbeat of Medal of Honor has always resided in the reverence for American and Allied soldiers, we have decided to rename the opposing team in Medal of Honor multiplayer from Taliban to Opposing Force.

He goes on to point out that this change won’t affect gameplay nor will it fundamentally change the nature of the game.

Medal of Honor has an impressive legacy and clearly EA don’t want to harm their product in the busy Christmas period when it will be up against similiar titles such as Call of Duty: Black ops.

The game will be out on October 12th in the US and October 15th in the EU for xBox 360, PS3 and PC.

Command And Conquer Gold Full Game Download

Entertainment

Games

cnc gold

command and conquer

ea-games

westwood
<guid

As part of the ongoing celebration of the 12th anniversary of the Command and Conquer series EA decided to make the game Command and Conquer Gold freely available to the community. Both iso images – one for GDI and one for NOD – that are available on the official website and numerous other download sites have a size of about 550 Megabyte and are fully compatible with Windows XP.

The iso images have to be burned to CD or mounted using a software like Daemon Tools. A patch to make the version compatible with Windows XP has to be downloaded as well from the official Westwood ftp site. The game is well worth the download in my opinion even if it lacks modern graphics and user interface.

Below are the instructions found in the read me that explains how to configure the game to play it in Windows XP:

Right-click the install.exe of the Command and Conquer Gold installation and select Properties and the Compatibility tab. Select Windows 95 from the list and click ok

Don’t install Direct X when prompted to do so. Installation will commence as usual.

Download the patch from the Westwood ftp and apply it. Link is below.

Change the compatibility of C&C95.exe which is created during installation to Windows 95 as well.

I would suggest to use a download manager to download both iso images because it really takes a long time to do so. I do get about 10K per second at the moment.

Read More:

Command and Conquer GDI and NOD Iso Download<br

One of the first games that makes extensive use of ingame advertisement is EA Games Battlefield 2142. Once connected to the server it displays ads in the game that are displayed by a calculation of variables like your geolocation or time you did spend looking at an ad.

Gamers do not receive anything from this. All the money earned goes right into the pockets of EA. This kinda sucks and I thought it would be nice to share a way to get rid of those ads. The easiest solution would be to block the network that streams the ads from being able to connect to your computer. All you need to do is block (reject traffic from) the subnets 72.3.184.144/28 and 72.32.5.0/28.

Another method that looks more complicated would be to change the ad files in the cache by using a tool called IGA Ad Cache Editor. The readme explains the functionality: “This application imports and exports DDS image files from the ad cache of Battlefield 2142. You can also import and export groups/sets of images (adpacks).”

Once exported you can modify the images using tools like GIMP and import them after you have changed the contents.
