Want to create your own playlist, add artists to it and search for songs as well ? Mucelli offers all of this in a easy to use very user friendly interface. They pull the music from Youtube and display it either with or without the video.

The default setting plays the music without showing the video but a click displays the video as well. You might be asking why you should use the Mucelli website if you could also just visit Youtube and play the videos and songs there. That’s a good question. The real benefit is that you do not have to know what’s in the charts to be able to listen to them.

You have easier access as well. Just click on a song and it plays. Click on the next and it plays immediately as well. If you would use Youtube you would have to perform a search for every new song that you want to find and play. Last but not least you always get the right result at Mucelli and don’t have to search through them like you sometimes have to do at Youtube.

On the downside the service does have some hiccups from time to time when the playing song waits for data from Youtube. It also seems to be problematic to change tabs which often stops playback for a second before it continues.

The Pirate Bay introduces Music Discovery

Music and Video

P2p

discover music

the pirate bay
<guid

Their newest addition to their website is a service called Show Detailed Artist Info which is available beneath every music release. When a user clicks on this link information about the artist or group are displayed below the initial torrent release.

The information displayed contain a list of recorded albums with torrent links if available, a picture, a link to a Last.fm radio station of that artist, a cloud of related artists and even upcoming events. Those information are of course not shown for every music release on The Pirate Bay but the major artists and groups are all covered.

I have to admit that I’m not downloading files from Bittorrent but if I would I would find this new feature really helpful. I think it is time that the big music portals are going to implement some of those features.

<span

The website is one of those web 2.0 sites who all look and feel the same. Musicmesh offers a related music search engine which connects music albums that are somehow related. One album is always centered and other music albums that float around it. If you move the mouse above one of them you can read the title and artist. A click centers this album and displays new related albums. This means that you can explore new albums by simply clicking on them to find more albums that you might like.

I have heard about Musicmesh before but did not find the time to take a closer look at their service until now.

It would not make much sense if you would not be able to listen to those songs, would not it ? Musicmesh integrates services from other websites , namely Youtube, Wikipedia and Amazon, into their site. Next to that is a review pane which offers reviews of the particular album or band. The best thing so far is that if you select a album you will see the tracklist of that album in the right pane.

Clicking on one of the songs loads a Youtube video playing the song. You get a very good impression of it that way. The music video will still be playing even though you navigate to a different album. The Wikipedia link is not that useful because it is embedded in a very small area. It is however possible to right-click that entry and select to open it in a new tab.

The database contains a large amount of artists and albums, even those that are lesser known. Don’t except to find to many unknown ones though.
