Ben Hibon, the director and creator of the prologue explains his intentions with it the following way:</p><p>&#8220;<em>I wanted to have a few main characters, to be able to write a variety of threads within the main story. I was also interested in illustrating different aspects of the â€˜Codehuntersâ€™ world through various personalities, which I could only do with multiple characters. So although they seem to be like a â€œgangâ€?, they have very different provenances and experiences&#8230; separate lives.
