href="http://www.utipu.com/">Tip Cam is a free screen recording software that records the full desktop or parts of it and saves the output in flash video format which is the most common video format on the Internet these days.

It comes with a few settings, quality settings for instance, but those are really only a few when compared to the screen recording applications mentioned above. You basically pick the size of the recording area from several available ones. They are divided into so called Zoom Levels and those that resize the desktop and the default one which records the complete desktop.

We all know that a larger area will increase the size of the video tremendously. The Zoom Levels that are available are 640×480, 800×600 and 1024×768. They appear as a green box that can be moved across the screen before starting the recording.

The compression setting has a huge impact on the quality of the recording. The default, lower quality, reduces the file size but is problematic with text and tiny objects if you do a full screen recording. The high quality compression creates a clear image that is good to read. Voice can be recorded as well by using a microphone that is connected to the computer.

The output will be created as flv files that can be uploaded to Youtube for instance or the service that the developers of Tip Cam offer their users. Tip Cam is excellent for users that want to create a quick recording without having to worry about complicated settings and options.

Digital Image Recovery

Hardware

Operating Systems

Software

Windows

cam

casio exilim

digicam

digital camera

image recovery

pictures
<guid

Lucky me I was able to discover the software Zero Assumption Digital Image Recovery which did recover all of the images that were deleted. Today I read the recommendation at Lifehacker and decided to write a little article about the software as well.

The developers of the image recovery software have created a list of supported camera models which is probably a good point to start. The list also contains those models that were found to be not working with the software, so before you try check the list. You need to connect the camera to the computer or put the memory card that contained the pictures in a card reader that is connected to the computer running the image recovery software.

It’s then just the matter of selecting the correct camera model or media from the list of available ones. The software will then automatically scan the card and try to recover all information it can find. All images that are recovered will be stored on the hard drive in a location that you specify.

release notes if you are curious about them. The interface has seen some slight changes and some new features like public chat have been introduced.

I would not say that Skype made a big step forward, can’t see many other changes yet. Sure there are some new emoticons and stuff like that but this is not that important I think. In case you do not know Skype I decided to list the main features of it.

Support of Windows, Mac and Linux

Talk or chat with your buddies using Skype and a microphone (for voice chat)

Video chat

Cheap calls to (mobile) phones worldwide

Send files using Skype

Conference Calls

I’m using Skype mainly to see when my buddies come online. I know that instant messengers do the same but I never got used to one of those.

Two quick and dirty webcam searches

Browsing

cam

cam search

google search

webcam
<guid

Happy hunting.

Just check out this two relatively new webcam searches using Google. Happy hunting. Update: This requires more explanation. The two search links listed below use advanced Google parameters to find webcams that are publicly available on the Internet. It is then possible to view the webcam image directly in a web browser. And while that is something that some webcam owners have configured their cam for, it is possible to stumble upon webcams that have been put on the Internet accidentally.

The commands use advanced Google search parameters. It is however possible to run the searches on other search engines as well.

If you look at the parameters of the first search engine you will notice that the following commands have been used:

intitle:”Biromsoft WebCam” -4.0 -serial -ask -crack -software -a -the -build -download -v4 -3.01 -numrange:1-10000

intitle: Searches only documents that match the title queries. Please note that the – operator filters out matching titles.

The second search phrase uses a different command:

site:viewnetcam.com

Site: The site command searches only for results that are hosted on the selected website. All other results are filtered out automatically.

The commands search for two specific webcam models and applications. Interested users can use a site like Webcam Search to find additional web cam models, websites and applications that they can then use to craft new searches on the Internet.

Here is a list of queries to get you started:

inurl:ViewerFrame?Mode=

inurl:ViewerFrame?Mode=Refresh

inurl:”ViewerFrame?Mode=”

inurl:axis-cgi/jpg

inurl:axis-cgi/mjpg

inurl:”MultiCameraFrame?Mode=”

inurl:view/indexFrame.shtml

inurl:view/index.shtml

inurl:view/view.shtml

liveapplet

intitle:”live view” intitle:axis

intitle:”live view” intitle:axis

intitle:liveapplet

allintitle:”Network Camera NetworkCamera”

intitle:axis intitle:”video server”

You can search on Google, Bing or Yahoo for additional related search queries. Just search for webcam hacks and similar phrases to find additional suggestions and options.
