It essential is a way to access information that are only available after logging in which means the website is forcing the user to register to access the contents. This does have several advantages like not getting spammed, saving time because each registration process takes a few minutes and a hassle free access to the information.

PDFMeNot is another time safer especially if you do not like the Adobe PDF format at all. It accepts PDF documents and turns them into some sort of slideshow with zooming functionality. The easiest way to use PDFMeNot is to either paste the url of a PDF document into the form on the main website or add the url behind http://pdfmenot.com/view/ in the address bar.

A bookmarklet and a Firefox extension are available as well so everyone should find something that he likes to use and feels comfortable with. Another nice feature is that you can embed PDF documents in your website if you use PDFMeNot.

<span

I don’t want to talk about the positive and negative effects of forcing users to signup before they can access information on a website but I would like to point out that some websites use the signup process solely to gain a valid email address from the user which can be sold to questionable companies. A temporary email address on the other side is a way to be able to signup to those websites without revealing one of your private email addresses.

BugMeNot, the service that is mostly known for its database of usernames and passwords to various sites on the internet, is offering a temporary email address service as well. You need to use a email in the form name@bugmenot.com when you create an account on another website. BugMeNot collects the emails and keeps them for a maximum of 24 hours. Just visit the disposable email service from BugMeNot and enter the name that you have selected during account creation into the form field.

All emails that have been send to BugMeNot in the last 24 hours are then displayed. If you use a common name such as test@bugmenot.com or similar you will probably see more than one email. You should also remember that everyone is able to access the email for your account confirmation as well and is able to force the website that you signed up with to send another password.

This means that you should only use disposable email services if the service is in no way connected to you. Make also sure that you use a password that you do not use normally. So, if you only want to signup to Youtube to be able to upload some videos you could use the service. It is however no good idea to use it to signup to Amazon oder eBay.

Bugmenot, login without registering

Browsing

The Web

Bugmenot

Firefox

firefox-extensions

login

passwords

register

registering

www.nytimes.com and had to register to login? Of course you can register a fake account using a disposable email address (like 6url or dodgeit) But there are more people who do that, so why not have a database with these kinds of fake accounts?

This is exactly what Bugmenot is made for. You can search per url and the site will give you logins (if there are any) for that website. Of course you can also submit your dummy accounts to this site so other people can use.

Even better is the fact that for all the Firefox users there is an Bugmenot Extension which is really easy to use.
You just right click on an login form and then select “Login with Bugmenot” and the extension automatically looks for login data on the bugmenot website.
And if an account doesn’t work the extension will try out the next account until you are logged in or until there are no more accounts. This site and the extension saved me allot of hassle on different occasions, and hopefully it will also be the same for you.

BugMeNot Bypass Website Registration

Advice

Security

Bugmenot

bypass registration

registration

websites
<guid

Most claim that they won´t sell or abuse your email that you register with but you can´t be sure about this. What if you desperately want to access the content but don´t want to risk that your email account receives heaps of spam because the email has been sold to spammers ?

You could try the BugMeNot Service that lets you seek for free logins to websites, you receive logins to sites like nytimes.com or imdb.com. The BugMeNot database does not contain logins to pay sites which is understandable, it´s main purpose is to give you access to free content without the need to register to the site you visit. You can use this bookmarklet that displays a login to the current website if one exists or this firefox extension if you are using firefox.

<span
