I like to take a glimpse at future technologies so that I can see which technology changes we can expect in the next few years. This one is amazing. It has been taken right out of a Japanese news show showing how a characters appearance is changed in real time. Character is probably not the right word because what I really mean is that the real time image of a human is taken and altered in a way that offers several new interesting prospects.
Codehunters Animation
Codehunters is a impressive work of computer art which was produced by Stateless Films for MTV Asia. It is a seven minutes long intro to the ongoing MTV Asia project Codehunters. The prolog introduces several characters of the Codehunters universe to the audience. The animation looks beautiful and I would suggest that you download the high resolution version if which could take some time to download.
Ascii Movies
Never thought this would be possible but it seems it is. The following site offers movies scenes in ascii format. Movies include Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, the Matrix and lots more. Detail level is amazing and you can select font size as well ranging from 1 to 12. My 1024*768 was not big enough for the large numbers but the movies look great even in a small size like 2.
