My first though was “Oh no, not another media player”. Adobe Media Player is based on the Adobe Air plattform which has to be installed before the media player can be installed.Think of flash for the desktop and you are more or less there. Adobe Photoshop Express Launched

Every company seems to think that they have to port their applications to the Internet these days. Adobe is the latest to follow this trend with the release of Adobe Photoshop Express [link] which seems to be a combination of a photo album and imaged editing application. Goodbye Adobe Reader Hello Sumatra

I always thought that free meant that I did not have to do anything to get the free item or service. The strange thing about this update is that only 26 of the 27 fixes of this update are listed in the release notes and that the security vulnerability that has been fixed is not listed on that page.

Adobe PDF Ads

Am I the only one that is thinking that putting Ads into Adobe PDF documents is not going to be that successful ? Putting contextual ads next to content in PDF documents is going to fail and here is why. Users are not used to ads in documents like PDF or Doc and they will have a hard time convincing users and advertisers to try this new ad form.

Interesting article over there at the Download Squad where they list the 5 most annoying programs. They call it Elephantwear, a very fitting description for programs that make your feel like your computer is not that fast anymore even if it is state of the art.
