Many of you have witnessed the development that took place here at ghacks.net since its creation. It developed from a site that solely concentrated on google and google hacking to a site with a broader appeal. I added articles about freeware tools, funny stories, spyware and security news and last but not least stories about music and the music industry.

I did this for some reasons and maybe some of your are interested in them. First of all, google hacking is a pretty small niche and I would be able to create just a few articles weekly about it. Therefor I decided to expand the articles section to cover also other types of articles, who have nothing in common but that they are interesting to me, and hopefully for your too.

Geekblue found an interesting Firefox extension that makes it possible to view open pages with Internet Explorer in a new tab within Firefox. This is useful when you are trying to view sites that don’t render properly with Firefox, such as secure sites that may require ActiveX.

You can read a good article about streamripping over at primehacks. For those who don´t know, streamripping means that you save the streams of internet radio stations to your local computer. Most programs offer additional features that also save artist information, song titles etc. if the radio stream supports it. This is the easiest legal way to add music to your collection.
