The website radioblogclub.com makes it really easy to search for music using their search engine. I conducted some test searches and found 178 Blur tracks, 537 tracks for The Beatles and 482 tracks for Madonna. The site offers a way to listen to the music online or copy and paste code into your own website to make it available to your visitors.

Unfortunately for them, but good for us, is the fact that the code contains the direct link to the mp3 file. It is therefor very easy to extract the link to the mp3 file from the code and download it afterwards. This requires some manual work but is really easy, here is one example how this is done.

There have been two drastic changes to Googles Gmail service in the last week. The first will probably make most users happy, gmail is now available to everyone. That is right, no more begging for invites, just visit the gmail site and signup for an account if you need one.

The second change might be interesting to users that have to work on different computers. Gmail now offers the option to access mail accounts that support the pop3 protocol from within gmail making it easy to use gmail as the central platform for all your incoming and outgoing emails. This new feature does not seem to be available to anyone yet, just check your settings in the gmail account and click on accounts.

Taskable is a great alternative for online or offline feedreaders, it is a RSS browser that places an icon in the windows system tray making it a very effective method of displaying those feeds. I really like the ease of use and space-saving nature of taskable, I mainly use it to display my most read feeds in the system tray and check on them periodically.

The Hype Machine is a free music blog search engine that makes it easy to search and listen to music that is posted on music blogs. Whenever a music blog that is connected to the Hype Machine adds a new mp3 file it is added to the index of the Hype Machine as well and everyone visiting the website is able to listen to it using his favorite player.

The Hype Machine currently supports Winamp, iTunes, Windows Media Player, Real Player and a online flash player. All songs are downloaded as playlists and will be streamed to your computer. You could use streamripper with Winamp to download the files if you like.

More and more users use wireless connections to connect to the Internet, many do receive a wireless lan router by default from their internet provider and forget to protect the router and the connection properly.
