It seems that currently a blog tagging game is making its rounds and finally reached me thanks to my friend Everton Blair who tagged my blog. Everyone who gets his blog tagged has to write about 5 things that his readers did not know about yet and tag 5 additional blogs afterwards to keep the ball rolling. Here we go, 5 things that you did not know about ghacks:

1. Ghacks was an accident. I never had the intention to create a regular blog from it.
2. I love sports. I do play football regulary because it is fun and keeps me in shape.
3. My favorite song is Vincent from Don McLean. I have the stary night picture he is singing about at home.
4. I once had a relationship with a very beautiful Danish girl who I met in Spain. Europe rules, did I mention this ? My love for the Scandinavian countries steems from this relationship.
5. Once every year I’m travelling together with my parents and brother to one European city. We already have been in Berlin, London and Prague and will continue this tradition in the coming years.

Many visitors of my site have knowledge in certain fields that excel my knowledge or supplement it. I thought it would be nice to add this knowledge to ghacks by giving the authors an incentive to share it. I’m looking for some authors who would like to write for ghacks on a more or less regular basis and add their knowledge to the growth of the site. This authors would in return receive part of the money earned from their articles.

This means basically that I would benefit because more articles means that more users could be attracted to ghacks, the authors would have a chance to write for a large audience and earn some money from it and the other visitors would benefit from it because there is more good stuff to read at ghacks. I decided to install a forum on a temporary basis for now and decided on its fate depending on how it will develop over the course of the coming weeks. I tried to keep it as clean and fast as possible and some of you might be a bit disappointed when they compare the forum software that I have been installing with suits like phpbb or vbulletin.

Let me first explain why I have decided to use the bbpress forum software. The main reason is that it was developed by the same guys who also created the blog software that I’m using and that it integrates well with that software. This means that you have to register once at the forum and may use the login for the forum on ghacks as well. This has the big advantage that your comments on ghacks are less likely to be declared as spam by the automatic spam checking scripts.
