The site opens a popup with advertisment as well, if that annoys you use a popup blocker.

Play Commodore 64 games Online

The c-64 was my first computer. I had an atari 2600 before and it seemed like a quantum leep at that time. The C-64 had many classic games that I enjoyed playing: Archon, Boulder Dash and Pirates for instance. You know have the chance to play some of the alltime classics of that era in your browser. The website c64s.com is the Eldorado for everyone who wants to play that classic games again or take a look at games of a time long forgotten.

Convert Images to Text-Images

I was not sure how to name the article appropriately. You can convert any image on your computer into a text image at text-image.com. The result looks great, just take a look at the sample image that I reduced in size. The normal size looks much clearer and brighter.

We all know the numa numa kid who got pretty famous for singing the song on his webcam. Unfortunatly for him it was recorded somehow and spread lightning fast on the internet. Cute Overload – The cutest site on the net

Cute Overload, the name alone seems to suggest a site for girls who like everything cute. I think its time for a website that my female readers like, after posting the what boys want site before. The site has tons of cute images of all sorts of animals, even I have to admit that some look really nice.

The site what boys want is more or less ad free and has a total of 342767 pictures of babes for your viewing pleasure. All free to view, no limitations.

Computers in Movies

I thought about writing on this topic for some time, I think it started with the movie Independence Day. You know, the movie where aliens invade the earth and destroy some major cities and the like. They defeat the aliens by uploading a computer virus to the alien mainframe which of course is compatible to the virus.

Japanese Smileys

Those crazy japanese again. I´am not sure why I love them that much but it probably has something to do with the fact that they are always good for a suprise (or two). I never thought they would use different smileys until I found this japanese smileys website.

Video Game Myths Debunked

I found an article written by Henry Jenkins, the director of comparative studies at MIT, that counters public perception of video games with scientific research. Everyone has read stories that connect violence in computer games to violence in the real world. “He shoot them because of Doom”, “The drive by shooting was caused by playing GTA” and similar stories made it to the frontline news in most parts of the world.

Grand Theft Auto Lego Parody

This is well done. A grand theft auto paradoy in lego. Great Animations, gta music and typical situations that happen in gta, like stealing cars, shooting and bombing something.

Great Freeware Game Mono

It´s been a time that I reviewed a game at ghacks. Mono is a freeware game that deserves to be mentioned here. It has a nice gameplay, great music and the most important part, it is fun to play.

It can be described as a arcade shooter. Your goal is to change the color of the background from white to black / black to white by shooting at colored circles that leave traces of their color on the background and part into two smaller circles of the same color.

Ascii Movies

Never thought this would be possible but it seems it is. The following site offers movies scenes in ascii format. Movies include Lord of the Rings, Spiderman, the Matrix and lots more. Detail level is amazing and you can select font size as well ranging from 1 to 12. My 1024*768 was not big enough for the large numbers but the movies look great even in a small size like 2.

Land of the Dead Game

Now, this is a great demo of what todays shockwave and flash gurus can create. The game land of the dead looks incredible. Its an ego-shooter, you always start in a van and your objective is to collect items that are hidden in a supermarket.

Well this concept has been new to me and it probably is for you as well. Everyone who feels offended by “normal” nudity should not click the following link. Everyone else should enjoy this fine piece of CSS art.

You probably know worth1000.com: The website holds many photoshop contests where artists submit altered images to a certain contest theme. They recently announced the “If hackers ruled the world” contest and recieved lots of images.

This is just to strange, someone build a clock that looks like the game Pong. The left site counts the hours while the right site counts the minutes. This means every minute the right site wins a point and every hours the left one does. Strange concept but great looking unique clock.

Tons of Classic Arcade Games

I still remember my first arcade video game, it was xevious, a vertical scrolling shoot em up game with great graphics and playability. I spend most of my money on that game and had some trouble with my parents because of this.

Lego Movie Parodies

We all love movie parodies, especially when they are well done and I promise you, these are well done. I suppose you know Lego, tiny bricks that you stick together to build big things. Nice invention from Denmark. Well, some people decided to create movies using Lego and nothing but Lego. I found a website that has movie parodies of well known Hollywood movies like Spiderman and Star Wars.

The Quarter Man

I found another one of those funny homemade movies. This time its a guy who has the talent to throw quarter coins this way that they bump on things and then land in a tiny glass he placed somewhere. The first few are easy to follow and not that spectacular but as soon as he begins the real tricks, like throwing one, it gets deflected from the first glas and bounces right into another one which is placed maybe 15 inches away from the first.

Quake II Evolved

I loved playing Quake and Quake II, it was a great game that was lots of fun. I enjoyed playing the game with my friends using serial connections back then. To my great suprise someone is porting Quake II to todays graphics standards, the gfx already look extremely good.

The Glass Trick

This is unbelievable but I could not figure out how this is done. It probably deals with a prepared location. I don´t speak this language therefor I was not able to understand a lot (he speaks english sometimes).

Castlevania Flash Game

It´s cold and dark outside, you won´t find a better opportunity to stay inside in your warm appartement, have a nice cup of coffee or tea and play a game of Castelvania. The game, created by Konami, made its debut on many systems including gameboy and playstation 2. The flash version seems to be a close port of a super nintendo version.

Defender of the Crown Flash Game

Its saturday, most of us are not working today so I thought I begin it with a link to one of the coolest games ever. I used to play it alot on my old C-64 and Amiga home computers. Ever played Sonic on a Sega console ? Its the same game only in flash on a pc screen. Looks great, plays great, enough said, go to freeworldgroup.com to play it.

Animation Titanic in 30 Seconds

Found this funny titanic movie parody in flash. Oh, one more thing, its re-enacted by bunnies. Enjoy the clip.

Great Flash animations

This are animations made by artists who actually draw their “paintings” on the web using this flash site. You can see the exact strokes from the beginning up to the final picture. The quality of the pictures is amazing.

A fly trainer ?

I can´t believe it. Even after seeing it for the third time. A Japaneses woman is shown on this tv spot who seems to have been able to train some flies to do acrobatic performances. Actually looks more than bees to me but anyways, the bees turn around when she moves her finger and even start playing with a tiny ball and start even moving it around with their legs.

Rick Dangerous online

Maybe some of you still know the game Rick Dangerous, its likely if you ever owned an Amiga or Atari Computer back in the 90´s. The game is an addictive jump and run type of game where you steer Rick, who has some similarities with Indiana Jones, through a temple. Its small and fun, look for yourself. Oh, it needs flash to run.

The first 20 minutes of Star Wars Episode IV in Asciiusing Java. This one is well done and worth a look. Great animations for Ascii, never thought something like this would be possible.

Ronaldinho showing some great football skills

From time to time i add some fun movies to my site and this one definatly deserves to be added. It shows brasilian football star Ronaldinho in a practice session. He does some tricks, comes to the 16m area, shots at the goal four times and everytime he hits the Bar and the ball reflects back to him.

Google Maps Risk Game

Could not believe it when I first heard about it. Someone ported the board game Risk to Google maps. When you start the game you see a worldmap and some lines drawn that are the borders. They look exactly like the risk game layout.

Funny Video

Now thats one funny idea. This video was taken from the german tv show “verstehen sie spass” who install hidden cameras and try to fool people with all sorts of hillarious setups. This time they placed a water bed into a furniture store, only thing is, its no normal water bed. Take a look at this and be happy that its not you who gave the bed a try ;)
