Unbelievable Ego Shooter that plays in Browser
This game takes browser games into the next level. The deathmatch maps that are currently playable feel and play a lot like quake 2. You always play against a handful of bots using well known weapons like the rocket launcher or the minigun. You can pick up health packs and med packs, this is fun. Phosphor demands the newest shockwave plugin, you will be redirected to the download site if you don´t have it already. Take a look at the screens and head right to their website.
Play Bust a Move online
Bust a Move or Puzzle Bobble is a nice little game that has made it´s way to almost every console system that has been released in the last ten years. You task is to clear a stage that consists of colored bubbles on the top of every screen and two little dragons at the bottom who shot colored bubbles at the ceiling. If three or more bubbles of the same color come into contact they disappear. The screen gets smaller from time to time means you will have to hurry to get rid of all the bubbles before the screen reaches your little dragons at the bottom.
Another World 2006
Some of you probably remember the 1991 classic Another World which was released on the Amiga system among others. I loved the game, it had fantastic animation and graphics for the time and it played just fine. Was pretty hard as well but I probably was not that good at playing games at that time. The game was using vector graphics and someone decided that it would be a nice idea to scale the vectors to offer a high res version of the game. You can see and download the results at the another world fanpage. Downloads are only available for pc but that should not be a problem for most. (with the amiga system being nearly dead and all)

Games for Linux
Linux has a bad image when it comes to gaming. Most games are developed for windows, sometimes a linux version will be released as well but most of the time this is not the case. The site games for linux lists many games that are available for free for a linux operating system. Every game has a screenshot and some basic information like size and website of the maker included. Every game is rated by its users which should give you a first impression of the quality of the game. Unfortunatly no hint is given on how many users have voted for the game. Nevertheless it´s great as a first indicator for the game.

Heroes of Might and Magic V Minigame
I always loved playing Heroes of Might and Magic games and I currently wait for the fifth installment of the series which is developed by a new team. Ubisoft created a minigame for the fifth version of Heroes of Might and Magic which is available at the website www.heroesmini.com. The game is a simple browsergame in which you chose a faction (all factions from the heroes game are available, like Haven and Dungeon) and buy armies. You have access to three army slots and can purchase all units of that faction. You pay the army with gold starting with 5000 gold which means you can only purchase a few relativly weak units at the beginning.

Video Game Myths Debunked
I found an article written by Henry Jenkins, the director of comparative studies at MIT, that counters public perception of video games with scientific research. Everyone has read stories that connect violence in computer games to violence in the real world. “He shoot them because of Doom”, “The drive by shooting was caused by playing GTA” and similar stories made it to the frontline news in most parts of the world.

Great Freeware Game Mono
It´s been a time that I reviewed a game at ghacks. Mono is a freeware game that deserves to be mentioned here. It has a nice gameplay, great music and the most important part, it is fun to play.
It can be described as a arcade shooter. Your goal is to change the color of the background from white to black / black to white by shooting at colored circles that leave traces of their color on the background and part into two smaller circles of the same color.

The game, created by Konami, made its debut on many systems including gameboy and playstation 2. The flash version seems to be a close port of a super nintendo version.

New Rumors on PS3 delay
The BBC claimed yesterday that Sonys Playstation 3 console system would be delayed for another year which would mean the system would debut in 2007 and not in mid 2006 as expected. Unfortunatly they did not cite any sources and most readers had the feeling it was simply another rumor.

Lets take a look at the components they selected for the machine.
