Did you ever come upon a video which seemed to tell an unbelievable story but still made you almost believe that it was true ? I experienced this when I was watching the video entitled Fear of Girls showing two roleplaying fanatics talking about their life presenting some footage of their gaming sessions and showing them during an interview. Youtube Sunday it seems. We all know that Youtube likes to cooperate with everyone who looks a bit like authority and takes down videos pretty fast. It does not always have to be copyright infringement, it can also be original works of art that some authorities like the Turkish or Thai government want removed from Youtube pressuring the site with a countrywide ban. (man I love the Turkish interpretation of Democracy and free speech)

Now ain’t that interesting ? You can use Google Maps to get directions from one location to another. It is most of the time pretty accurate displaying information about highways, signs, exits and so on to give you a good impression of the route that lies ahead. You can try it now and head over to the Google Maps website and use the Get Directions tab to enter a starting point and destination to see how the system works.

Now that is what I call a bargain. Europeans do not only have to wait longer for the Playstation 3 to hit the shelves they also get a crippled PS3 that has reduced backwards compatibility. And the best of all ? They pay even more for the package. I was not sure what to make of the story that Everton posted today on his connected internet blog, he missed to cite a source for his story entitled: “Playstation 3 To Have Less Backwards Compatibility in Europe” and I immediately performed a search to find out what was going on.

Silence can sometimes be really funny. The following videos are taken from a Japanese game show where the candidates have to be silent most of the time. The “do not laugh” or “gaki no tsukai” show is funny but might be unsuited for some of the viewers, it can be quite disturbing at times if you are used to European or American tv shows. The first videos show the candidates in various situations where they are not allowed to laugh, the last two shows take part in a library where they play a silly game. Please read on this is a funny story, I promise that. Germans pay about 19$ a month if they own a television. This fee was introduced right after the war to make it possible that state independent tv stations would be able to run without receiving money from the state. There were only those stations after the war and it made sense at this time. Nowadays you have dozens of tv stations but you still pay the money for those state independent ones (all other stations don’t see a dime of that money).

This is a funny story I read on the World of Warcraft forums. A guy who is playing World of Warcraft was on his flight from the United States to Canada to meet some of his fellow clan members. He used the toilet on that flight and witnessed afterwards that the stewardesses were acting strangely. Something seemed to keep the toilet from flushing. The guy immediatly thought it was his fault but decided not to tell them because of this embarassing situation.

Error Messages – I hate them with a passion. Especially if they are not helpful at all or even tragic. Members of the Dailtywtf forum 2 compiled a list of funny messages that were either a result of a search on the internet or a error message from an operating system or application. I don’t think the person who recieved the message thought it was that funny, for everyone else it is..
