Download Android apps from Google Play without Google account

Google Play is the official Android app store. It offers application and game downloads, movies, music and books among other things and depending on the country you are accessing the store from.

If you are using an Android device, chance is that you can access the Play store either directly on your device using the Play store app, or on the web to download, rate or review apps.

There are two situations where you may not be able to download apps from the store.

The first is if the device manufacturer has not obtained a license from Google to add the Play Store application to the device.

If the Play Store app is not listed on the phone and if you cannot install it either, then it is likely that your device is not supported at the time.

The second is if you receive error messages when you try to download apps from Google Play. For some reason or the other, you may not be able to download apps this way even if your phone is supported.

Download Android apps directly

There is hope though. One option that you have is to download Google Play store apps directly to install them after you have downloaded them to your system.

One added advantage of this method is that you do not have to sign in to a Google account to do so. If you want to download apps directly using the Play store app or the Play store, you need a Google account to do so.

APK Downloader is a free web service that you can use to download any app from the Play Store.

All you have to do is paste the apps' store url into the form on the website  and hit the enter key. The web service generates a download link for you that you can click on to download the apk file to your local system.

Note: The service runs out of quote regularly. If that is the case, you can either wait for it to become available again, or use the Chrome extension instead. While it works fine regardless of the status of the web service, it requires that you enter your Google Play email address and password, which I would not recommend.

It is safer to wait for the service to recover so that you can make use of it without having to use the extension.

The only limitation of the service is that it cannot be used to download commercial applications from Google Play.

If you cannot use the Play Store to download apps from Google Play, then you may find the APK Downloader web service useful as it provides you with the means to download apps from the store to install them on your Android device.

Martin, your: Chrome Extension Instead link... links to a paid game instead of the intended target. As for downloading APK's... I tried quite a few of the freebie versions already on Google play and they all work from your phone and not all of them work entirely which is why I hunted down a PC version that works wonders but it insisted on my Google play account, pw and even phone iD number which I provided and now I can download ANY APK directly whenever I visit the Play Store. When I visit the Play store a download link appears in Chrome in the address bar right beside the Favourites star. When that appears, I simply click to download.

p.s. it will only download paid APK's if you already own them, it won't allow us to download any we didn't purchase already.
