Image Batch Processor Lets You Convert Images In Bulk

Image batch processors can be useful tools to automate repetitive processes like converting image file types or changing other parameters like image resolutions. Programs like ImBatch save you a lot of time, provided they are easy to use and offer the processing options that you need.

ImBatch can be useful to reduce the size of images before you send them to someone via email, embed them in a Word document or presentation, or upload them to your website.

When you start the program you are asked to add one or multiple images from your computer. Just click on the plus icon and select all the images that you want processed. They are ideally stored in the same folder to make the selection easier.

All images are then displayed with a thumbnail, name, image type, dimensions and source folder. You can remove images from the list again or simply uncheck their checkmarks to not process those at the time.

You then add tasks on the right side. Tasks currently supported by the software are saving, resizing and rotating. Saving allows you to convert image file types, or saving them under a different name on the drive.

You can interestingly enough save images not only as other image formats but also as pdf or ps files.

Resizing can be used to change the DPI, width or height separately. It is possible to keep width or height proportional to the other or use new values for both of them. A filter option is available to change the resizing method.

It is important to keep the different tasks in order. It does not make a lot of sense for instance to start with the saving task before completing the resizing of the image. Up and down arrows are available re-order the task list.

Tasks can also be saved to be loaded at a later time. This is useful if you have to complete the same resizing and saving operations regularly.

Windows users can download the latest version of ImBatch from the developer website. The program is compatible with all recent 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the Windows operating system.

You can also check out alternatives like the Digital Image Processing Software or Easy Image Modifier.

Been using Image Batch Processor for some time and find the program to be very useful, easy to use and does exactly what it says it will do.

I recommend this to anybody who wants to resize pictures, as it will do precisely that.

I think that such software is rendered obsolete when softwares such as faststone viewer, irfan viewer etc can do just that and provides a great pic viewing software.

  4. LiberalismIsAMentalDisorder says:

Used XnView for years to do that…& a whole lot more.
