Ghacks October 2011 Best Of

Another month has passed rather quickly. Below you find a personal selection of articles, reviews and tutorials that have been published on Ghacks Technology News in October 2011.

We had some announcements of our own to share in October. Ghacks turned six in the month, and in that time span we have been published more than 11,500 articles on the site. I also announced the 4th Annual Ghacks Christmas Giveaway asking everyone to chime in and post their favorite software that they would like to win a copy of (It is still open by the way).

The layout of this best of list has been redesigned a bit. I decided to put everything into the four categories browser, How-Tos and Tutorials, Windows and Microsoft, and Online and The Internet.

Browser

Mozilla and Google are still pushing out new versions like crazy which is still something that I do not feel particularly happy about. I took a look at Firefox 9 and Opera 12 in October.

Microsoft Windows

News and reviews about Windows and Microsoft have always been strong here on Ghacks. This month has not seen a big announcement or news, other than Microsoft closing the Skype acquisition.

I found many articles posted for October to be very interesting, informative and useful!

I’m not a (Google) Chrome fan, so I merely read those posts, just to see what the (Firefox) competition was up to!

I hope that November will be just as well packed with articles as the previous month.

Keep ‘em coming, Martin. Much appreciated! :)

  2. Paul(us) says:

Wow Martin 11,500 articles on your Ghacks site that’s 5,25 articles a day. Main complements to you because your (and your co writers) articles are great. Next to that personally I am convinced that you started a soon to be greet tradition with this best of the mouth.

The “Comments, Please” article (and the ensuing comments on it) was the highlight for me. :-)
