When I first started the Christmas Giveaway back in 2008 I did not really think that it would become an annual event, nor that other sites would pick up the idea and run their own giveaways at that time of the year.
The Ghacks Christmas Giveaway is an event taking place from December 1 to December 24 (and sometimes a few days more depending on software availability) where readers of the blog can win commercial software licenses. I have partnered up with great companies like Symantec, Kaspersky, Bitdefender and independent developers that develop gems like Fast Picture Viewer, Sandboxie or Bulk Image Downloader in the past.
I asked you last year which software you’d like to see in the upcoming giveaway, and I’d like to continue this tradition this year.
You can suggest any online service or software, and I will contact the developers to see if they can be convinced to take part in the event. I cannot give you a guarantee that the devs will cooperate but from past experience I can say that most will. Please include the name of the company and the product in your comment (and website if available) so that it is easier for me to find the company website.
Please note that I cannot test Mac or Linux software, and won’t try to get those included in the giveaway unless the company is offering a Windows version as well. If the latter is the case I can include it in the giveaway.
Companies and organizations who produce quality software, hardware or online services can also contact me directly for inclusion in the giveaway. (please use the contact form at the top for that).
I cannot guarantee inclusion at this point in time. If the software or service is regarded highly or of high quality, then chances are good that it will be included.
Each software, hardware and service will be reviewed here on the site. You can check out past reviews here.

myspeed.com would be nice, just a 1-year subscription to their myspeed software that speeds up or slows down flash video (great for college students forced to watch flash videos).
Not a bad one at all! Good choice!
Camtasia Studio would be really nice.
Another few:
TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 5
VBoot
Wirecast Pro
FastStone Capture
Thanks again for this giveaway!
Corel PaintShop Pro X4 would be a great giveaway, as it’s an amazing alternative to Adobe Photoshop., much leaner and just as feature rich!
My all time software is Kaspersky Internet Security, if you have a spare license laying around,… hint, hint! :)
MediaMonkey Gold would be a treat.
Also remembered how good it is to have Internet Download Manager… i wish to have a full copy so i don’t have to flush it every 30 days!!!
This is amazing news Martin, your giveaway is always a highlight of my Christmas time! I unfortunately don’t have any suggestions just yet, but I will put on my thinking cap and hope to have some for you soon!

Some programs in my wish list are:
Acronis Disk Director
Diskeeper Pro
SnagIt
Auslogics Boot Speed Pro

How about a license for the paid version of Keyscrambler? The free version doesn’t protect Chrome, and I think it’s a great addition to anybody’s security setup :)
I’m john vas, and I responded and wrote my comments to your ten and five licenses giveaways, as you requested last year (December 2010) for “System mechanic 10″ and “Nero 10 multimedia suite platinum” respectively.
Ten months are passed since then, and you have not yet announced the winners or if these two giveaways or if they are still in progress.
Why? What’s happening?
Anyway I’m still interested in these two products, and I’d like to see them in the upcoming giveaways. The sites of these two companies are familiar to you. Therefore I’ll include the urls of your giveaways:

Thank you in advanced, and I’m looking forword for your reply.
My suggestions are:
1. Emsisoft Anti-Malware 6
2. DefenseWall Personal Firewall 3
3. EaseUS TodoBackup Wokstation 3
I love to deal with freeware. Those who are asking for Snagit try out Screenpresso (http://www.screenpresso.com/). You’ll be satisfied.
Hi Martin,
As a reader from the very beginning of the site I’d like to give you my 2 cents here:
1) Uninstall Toll from Crystalidea.com
2) AdMuncher found on http://www.admuncher.com/
These programs are not pricy and perfect for a giveaway. However, I can’t live without either of them. They are one of the first things I install on a new computer.
Also a commercial license on Synchredible – an otherwise free program will end the nag screen which will be epic!
Those are my suggestions :)
Best,
Ray

softmaker office 2010 is a good alternative for MS OFF 2010, though it has only word, excel and powerpoint equivalents.they used to give old versions free during x-mas season. you may pl., contact them

I simply forgot to add the winners to those two posts. I’m sorry for that, it won’t happen again. I see what I can do to get the companies on board again.
Thank you Martin!
I suggest 1AVCenter from
http://www.pcwinsoft.com/1AVCenter/index.asp
would LOVE to see Fast Picture Viewer Pro. That’s a great program and I missed out on it last time!! PUH-LEEEEEAAAASEEEEEE :)
How about a good photo slideshow type of software that creates good photo slideshows and/or albums that I can upload to my personal website.
Another vote for Sandboxie
AdMuncher would be nice and they have one year licenses now. Thinking outside the box, what about some Android apps too?
