Another month has passed and it is time for the monthly overview of my personal selection of the best articles that have been published on Ghacks in that month. I have made the decision to limit the article links to 25 links tops. This forces me to make a better selection and ensures that only the best articles will be mentioned in the overview.
May was a month where we have seen many hacks and attempts. The popular online password management service Last Pass/a> for instance was rumored to have been hacked. You can read about my response to this incident here. A security company allegedly managed to bypass Chrome’s sandbox which Google later refuted saying that they used a plugin vulnerability to do so.
May was also the month where Mike gave away his Windows 7 Power Users Guide ebook for free, Facebook introduced Facebook Send and teamed up with Web of Trust, Google it’s new music streaming service Google Music (at least for US users) and smartphone payment system Google eWallet, and Adobe Flash 10.3 was released. The new version of Flash allows the deletion of Flash cookies from within the web browser, provided that the browser supports this feature. At the time of writing, both Google Chrome and Internet Explorer 9 do.
Browser
When you look at web browsers, you will notice that developers are still striving to remove or reduce user interface elements from their browsers. Some of the latest elements have been the address bar and the scroll bar. Accelerated Firefox development is now in full swing, with Firefox 5 expected to be released June 21.
