Ghacks April 2011 Best Of

Another month has passed and it is time for a new best of guide to last month’s articles here on Ghacks. April was the month that the popular technology news site Download Squad was shut down by AOL, along with dozens of other web blogs owned by the company. It was also the month that Delicious was sold by Yahoo, Google announced to close down Google Video and a huge amount of Windows 8 information appeared on the web thanks to two leaked copies of the operating system.

Ashampoo and Sony were hacked in April, and Google Chrome became the first browser to integrate the cleaning of Flash cookies.

It was also the month where I started to write the Discovering Opera series to review core Opera browser features, and re-introduced Game Saturday.

I have reviewed a new batch of Firefox add-ons and tips and Mike visited Microsoft’s UK Headquarters.

Firefox 4.0.1, Thunderbird 3.1.10, Opera 11.10 and Google Chrome 11 Stable were released this month, as well as updates to Adobe Flash and Adobe Reader which once again were plagued by 0-day vulnerabilities.
