Ghacks March 2011 Best Of

I know I’m a day early with the guide to last month’s best articles. Every month I’m looking back at the articles that we have published here on Ghacks; I evaluate them, check some stats and post the most popular articles and a personal selection in a best of overview. I usually post the overview on the first Sunday of the next month, today is an exception.

March 2011 was a month with several exciting releases. It was the month of the web browser, that saw releases of Internet Explorer 9 and Firefox 4, Opera Mobile 11 and Opera Mini 6, and Google Chrome 12.

March was also the month were several Gmail users lost all of their inbox (later recovered), Amazon introduced its new controversial Cloud Drive service and Yahoo Search Direct.

Web browser related articles and guides have seen a surge this month thanks to the releases of new versions. This will go down a bit in coming months.

The news that Google lost emails from some users and a personal request made me write the two backup related articles. For True Crypt, it is important to have a backup at hand in case of hard disk failures or header corruption.
