A friend of mine recently asked me if I could write a best of post at the beginning of every month. He mainly asked that because he did not have time to check my website every day which could mean that he missed interesting articles. I’m interested in your opinion as well.
A total of 199 articles have been posted on Ghacks in January 2011. That’s roughly six per day. Posts have been contributed by me, Mike Halsey and Jack Wallen. The month was rather uneventful. We have seen two new Firefox betas, the Opera 11.01 release and new Internet Explorer 9 footage.

Good idea – I actually found several articles that interest me and that somehow I managed to miss.
I’m currently thinking of adding best of articles for previous months, at least for the last year or so.
Indeed, a Best Of for previous month (an index in this case, rather) and one (truly “Best of”) for “All times” seems interesting, but what should the criteria be ?
EDIT my previous post – A Best Of, not an index, sorry : a selection of all articles indeed.
A monthly Ghacks Best of – what a wonderful idea.
RSS tech feed junkies can get way behind esp when life “intervenes” for a while and this will keep me up to date with my favorite of the dozens I subscribe to.
The “criteria” should be whichever articles/posts ring Martin’s bell the most that month (+ feedback of course). Why would that even be a question?
Well, both is answer :)
Good idea indeed, and you selected first Sunday of the month to post it!. I also agree with SubgeniusD’s view in selecting articles.
Good idea, just in case someone missed anything. Maybe you can add a clickable 5-star system to each post. Then, at the end of the month you can easily see what posts got the most stars by your readers.
