gHacks Editor’s First Tech Book Becomes Top Seller

I got the news this morning but I had to seek all types of clarification today before I believed it was genuinely true.  I’m delighted to announce that my first ever book published through a proper publisher (I’m not counting my own self-published Windows 7 book here) Troubleshooting Windows 7 Inside Out from Microsoft Press, has become one of the publisher’s top 25 selling eBooks for 2010.

The reason I found this so difficult to believe at first is partly because it’s my first book, but also because the book only went on sale at the end of October, so was only actually available for the last two months of that year.

I’d like to thank everybody here at gHacks, the editorial staff (especially Martin) and all the readers for being so encouraging and supportive, and I promise that the same energy and passion that goes into writing a tech best-seller will continue to be used here for articles long into the future.

I’ve got a few good hardware reviews coming up in the next couple of months for you all too, including a whole bunch of NetGear home AV kit, and I’m soon to be exploring the potential health benefits of Microsoft’s Kinect device for the Xbox 360.  Yes!  You did read that right but at least it’s cheaper than a gym membership.

So work begins again tomorrow on articles at your favourite technology website.  Also for today only you can get a massive 50% off the eBook by using the code DDM25 at the checkout.
