Adobe has just released a first beta version of the upcoming Flash Player 10.2 for all supported operating systems. The beta version introduces several new and enhanced features that may make it worthwhile for some users to try it out right now.
One of the biggest addition in Adobe Flash Player 10.2 is improved hardware acceleration. This version “enables access to hardware acceleration on the entire video pipeline” which should reduce the processing power requirements noticeably during video playback. Adobe mentions that they have seen “laptops play smooth 1080p HD video with just over 0% CPU usage” during tests. While that does not necessarily mean that every computer sees such a huge drop in cpu usage it does give a good indication of what users can expect after installing Adobe Flash Player 10.2.
The new version of Flash Player can be especially helpful for users who have experienced slow downs or high cpu usage during video playback.
Flash Player 10.2 introduces Internet Explorer 9 GPU support which can improve the rendering performance in Microsoft’s newest Internet browser by up to 35%.
Computer users with multi-monitor systems will like the ability to play full screen Flash contents on one monitor while “multi-tasking” on the other.
It still has to be noted that the release is a beta version and not a final release. Users who want to try it out can download Flash Player 10.2 beta from Adobe Labs. It is available for all supported operating systems.

Weird, the Non-IE one is telling me to download “the most updated version”, and won’t let me install, the IE one installed fine.
You may have the flashplay square preview installed.
Get the square uninstaller, remove it, and install the beta.
That was it, which is weird.
Beta 2: 12.2.151.49
Square p2: 12.2.161.23
Which means the beta 2 was done before Square p2 (?).
Just ignore the “Beta 2″, I don’t know where I got that from.
Beta version is so light & easy 2 use on windows 7 with easy install without any problem.
It was also good for apple.
So how do we turn on the stage video accelerator? Do we have to download that stage video acclerator or its already there with flash player 10.2 beta? Please tell me!
