Bulk File Changer

The Windows operating system stores file attribute and file time information for each file on connected storage devices. File attributes are for instance read-only or hidden flags that can have an impact on file operations. The dates and times a file was created, modified and accessed are also stored in Windows although they do not usually have such a high impact on file operations.

Bulk File Changer is a new portable Nirsoft software program that replaces the File Date Changer application. It comes with the full functionality of that application plus some additional features that have been added by Nir Sofer.

Files can be loaded into the program by using the file browser (F2) or the folder loader (F3). The former can be used to select specific files from one directory while the latter supports adding files from a root directory and subdirectories as well.

All files are then displayed with their filename, full path, modified, created and accessed time, file size and attributes.

Some or all files can be selected for modification. File attributes and file dates can be changed easily by clicking on the Change file time / attributes button or pressing the F6 button. It is possible to change the values individually which is another new feature of this new program.

The usual Nirsoft reporting and export features are provided. The software can be downloaded from the Nirsoft website. It is compatible with 32-bit and 64-bit editions of the Windows operating system.
