Yesterday we reviewed the first release candidate of the upcoming Opera 10.50 web browser for the Windows operating system admiring the speed and functionality of the web browser as well as the impressive development speed. Imagine our surprise when we opened our RSS news reader to find out that Opera has released another two release candidate builds since then.
Opera 10.50 RC 3 has been released today and is available for download for the Windows operating system. Can it be that the developers are rushing the release because of the browser choice screen that Microsoft Windows users will see in Europe in March?
There is of course nothing wrong with lots of releases in a short period of time if the developer’s manage to keep the quality of the releases up. The recent releases seem to produce some mixed reviews judging from the comments over at the official announcement posts at the Opera website.
Some users mention missing or not working features in the comments that are largely related to the user interface. Windows users who want to try the latest Opera 10.50 build can download the Windows MSI or Windows Classic release right here or visit the Opera Desktop Team blog to download them from there.

Haha..I just went there and found RC4.
lol
Impressive!
That’s all i can say.
May switch from default Firefox soon…
what’s the difference between MSI and CLASIC ?
msi is the modern one, an install engine, with rollback capabilities etc, classic well… i dont know, maybe just the old version .exe instead of a .msi lol
check wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Windows_Installer
I’m not sure about the advantages of msi but classic builds are smaller..
The main release will only be in msi though.
And RC5 has been released.
