There are two problem categories of Facebook login difficulties. Category one contains problems that are related to the FAcebook page loading only partially or not at all while the second category contain problems related to the Facebook login itself.
The first category of problems is usually easier to fix. A not loading Facebook page can have only a few sources. It can be that Facebook is currently experiencing difficulties which can be solved by waiting some time and trying again. If the website is not fully loading or displaying old information then clearing the browser cache or trying to access Facebook with another web browser will help.
The last source for Facebook login problems can be that the Internet service provider the user uses to connect to the Internet has problems connecting to Facebook. This again is usually solved by waiting some time and trying to access the page again.
Windows users can also try a so called tracert command to see if the connection to Facebook can be established. They need to open a command prompt (by pressing Windows R, typing cmd and hitting enter). The command tracert facebook.com will try to establish the connection to Facebook and display problems on the screen. These information can then be used to contact the ISP asking for help.
More common are problems associated to the Facebook login itself. This can be that the password or username are not accepted, that the data cannot be remembered or that another error message is displayed when logging into Facebook.

I haven’t been able to login to Facebook since yesterday morning. I get “Webpage Cannot Be Displayed”. I tryed refresh, and clearing cashe, and still can’t get there even via emails received through games.
I have no problem going to any other sites either. I am sending this at 10:58 am on the 5th of January 2011.

every i try to enterf/b on my favorites list it say there is a problem with the websites security certificate. suggestions are:close website, continue(not recommended) or more info which tells me nothing. if i enter f/b through the not recommended way i cannot chat with anyone. if i enter through email there is no problem chating. what is this problem with security certificates and f/b. thanks, let me know asap.
It seems Facebook doesn’t like Linux for its users, after several attempts to login from a Linux machine it keeps responding with incorrect password when the password is correct.
