Remove PDF Restrictions

AnyBizSoft PDF Password Remover is a software program for the Windows operating system to remove PDF restrictions. A free license for the commercial tool is currently offered on the developer’s website so that users can download and use the program free of charge. The program, unlike its name suggests, is not primarily being used to remove passwords from pdf documents but to remove print, copy or editing restrictions from pdf documents.

PDF documents can be added by using the build in file browser which allows to add one or multiple documents that reside in the same folder on the computer system. The software will list all pdf documents that have been added with information like their file names, sizes in Kilobytes or page sizes.

remove pdf restrictions

A click on the start button will remove the restrictions from all pdf files that are currently listed in the interface. The destination directory for the unrestricted pdf copies is the program directory of AnyBizSoft PDF Password Remover. This can be changed in the same interface to another location on the computer system.

Password protected documents will be marked with an icon. Restrictions can only be removed from them if the user is able to supply the password that was used to protect the pdf file during creation. PDF Password Remover can be downloaded from the developer’s website. It is compatible with most Microsoft Windows operating systems including Windows 7. The key can be requested on the same page.

Update: The software is no longer free. Take a look at remove pdf restrictions for a free alternative.

Siteadvisor says this is infected with the Spy-Buddy Trojan.

  2. What is the point of being able to remove protection from PDF files only if you have the password? If you had the password in the first place couldn’t you override these restrictions within Adobe Acrobat without a 3rd party program like this?

  3. Crodol says:

Checked on VirusTotal – all ok!

The “problem” I had was that I could not find a pdf file that actually was proteced in the first place…

    @ David Levin

Not exactly sure where you found a problem. I tested it on a couple of files on my hard-drive and it removed restrictions such as with regards to print, export as image, etc. efficiently and mercilessly without ever asking me for a password. It seemingly works as intended.

To remove all the password restrictions from my PDF files I use Recover PDF Password by Eltima. Nice app which recovers both user and owner passwords and can even remove the digital signature.

Thanks for the link, Michael. This is what I like about Ghacks. People who posts here are semi-knowledgeable and can post leads to solutions.
