The Android Market just isn't up to the Apps Store... it needs work. I'm leaning toward purchasing a Droid this week, but if I do, it will _only_ be due to wanting Verizon coverage; the apps for the iPhone are still a long way ahead of Android's offerings. For whatever reason you don't like them - we get it. Number one: the iphone is extremely well established, and gaining a lot of market share, even in the business/smartphone market. As for SonyEricsson being competitive in that area - give me a break. Number two: Their marketing sucks. Noone has heard much about them, and most of the people who have a Sony Ericsson phone will usually get a new one once their plan runs out or get renewed. Number three: there is no IPhone killer. Android phones have tried before, and failed. Number four: A reason why the iphone is so popular are the apps and the App Store. Does Sony have that? Not really. Nokia is trying hard and failing harder with their wanna-be app store. (As for your comment about the Zune, take a look at ipod vs. zune sales for the last 3 quarters.)
