B&N charges for RSS feeds? Please.
I am hoping that Alex, or something like it gets made.

I would choose the Alex for its web browser (as long as I can use wi-fi for free) and for not being tied down to one bookseller.

B&N charges for RSS feeds? Amazon has more titles at lower prices. B & N has lots of the free titles of books out of copyright, like sherlock holmes, three musketeers, Jane Austen, etc. Also, the prices at Amazon are lower on average.
So if you want to READ, use a Kindle or an iPhone/iTouch with the Kindle app. If you want a gizmo that reads, too, maybe the Alex or Nook will suit you.

The diff is in what is actually offered in the way of ebooks to any of the readers. I like the openness of the Alex, but the design of the Nook is closer to what I'd want with a dual screen device. Neither of these will be my first eBook reader I'm sure, but these definitely get me much more interested in owning one.

This is a pretty touch choice. Lbook doesn't have second display and doesn't have any browsing capabilities, doesn't have even touchscreen - but it reads (txt, rtf, doc, pdf, djvu, chm) - and that's all I want from it for the $300 I paid for it year ago.
Thing I wish - Firefox extension to 'print' pages to .txt file of my choice (new or append to existent).
Paying for RSS or mobile internet charges? Don't expect that from me.

I think I don’t have a reason to trade my Lbook V3 for that.
