Ctrl+C, then Paste Special -> Alt E+S+V
The paste special window in open office has PasteAll selected by default. Plus having checkboxes instead of radio buttons means I have to deselect every one of them. Radio buttons in excel make it so easy.
Vlookup , match, offset formulas are used by almost every spreadsheet person but the nagging ";" instead of , is hard to remember. I don't know why this difference with excel was made. People familiar with excel still have trouble writing these formulas + their performance is slow.

Simple features or shortcuts I am familiar with in excel are still missing in open office

Ctrl+C, then Paste Special -> Alt E+S+V<br

I've used both office suites (in their then-current versions) on everything from Pentium II computers, to dual-core AMD64s, and the difference in speed is negligible if your computer is fast enough to run them. Price, security (MS Genuine Advantage phoning home, security updates needed every month)...Microsoft is a big loser!

@Dhanasekaran: If your PC is old enough that you can tell the difference between OpenOffice and MS Office (Micosoft?), then it is definitely time to upgrade your computer.
