Note Taking Program AllMyNotes Organizer

AllMyNotes Organizer is an intuitive note taking program for the Windows operating system. It allows users to quickly take notes in a virtual folder structure in the application’s interface. It supports multiple files that consist of folders and notes located in those folders which makes it interesting for users who want to carry some of their notes with them on a portable device.

Taking notes is an intuitive process. All it takes is to either open an existing note to add or edit information or create a new note which can then be filled with information. Information in this regard means text that can be formatted in various ways. There is unfortunately no way to add other objects like images or multimedia files to the program.

A set of keyboard shortcuts is available to speed up the note taking process. It is for example possible to add data and time, jump around in a note or paste data from the clipboard into a note. A global serch is available in the note taking program that can be used to find information quickly and easily. Other elementary features like being able to password protect the notes, changing the interface language or skins are available as well.

AllMyNotes Organizer is compatible with all Microsoft Windows operating systems from Windows 2000 onwards including Windows Vista and Windows 7. It can be downloaded from the developer’s website. Localized versions of AllMyNotes Organizer are available for download as well.

Update: The developer has updated the program several times since the review. The latest version of the software can be downloaded as a portable version and installer. It also makes use of a 1800-bit encryption key to prevent unauthorized access to the notes stored in the software.

  1. Johnny Fanboy says:

    Meh.
    OneNote FTW!

  2. Volodymyr (developer) says:

Regarding missing support of images and attachments. These features are in our priority list of features to implement, if everything will move well, we’ll have them ready in very nearest two-tree weeks.

  3. Tom says:

    I think i’ll stick with one note…
    One note FTW x2

  4. Volodymyr (developer) says:

As promised, support of Images and File Attachemnts is implemented in latest version 1.12

  5. Volodymyr (developer) says:

    Hi Folks,

I would like to see a shoot-out between the simple, crisp folder based note programs that are available (with discounts here and there and depending on the version) in the free to under-$25 level.

    AllyMyNotes Orgranizer,
    TreeDbNotes,
    Keynotes-NF

Are three that come to mind. You could probably add five more easily.

    Shalom,
    Steven Avery

Excellent program, but your information on it is a bit out of date now. There is support for importing BMP, PNG and JPG files and you can simply copy/past an image from elsewhere right into your notes.

I gather that support for tables is going to be available soon, which was the response from the developer when I enquired about this.

Seeing as this blog is linked in Wilipedia (how I got here) perhaps a revision would be in order?

  8. David L says:

Forgot to add………….quite important. The program supports the attachment of files to the notes.
