Latest Google Chrome 4 Dev Release Fixes Lots Of Bugs

google chrome browserThe current Google Chrome releases that are available for download can be cause for some real confusion as the official release version for the public is still Google Chrome 2 while the Google Chrome developers are already working on Google Chrome 4. The latest development release of the Google browser is Google Chrome 4.0.202.0. It fixes a few dozen bugs that have been discovered in previous versions of the web browser. Most of these bugs have affected Google Chrome on all operating systems while only two have been fixed for the Windows operating system exclusively.

Probably the most important bug fixes in this version are that it is now possible to import passwords when importing from Firefox 3.1 or higher, the memory footprint reduction and several web browser cash fixes.

Users who are interested in the full release notes can visit the revisions log over at the Chromium website which is listing all changes to that version of the Google browser. A quick overview is available at the Google Chrome dev blog which is listing the most important changes.

Google Chrome 4.0.202.0 finally can be downloaded from the dev channel website at the Chromium website. Especially the crash fixes make it a recommended update for all dev channel users.
