To answer your question...no they have not fixed the high cpu usage issue, which is why I'm using IE right now. I loved ff before version 3 came along. I think it has to do with flash but it still happens to me even with flashblock blocking all flash. It is NOT a addon I can recreate the problem with all addons disabled.
