Funny, what Apple does is illegal in coutries with proper consumer protection and antimonopoly laws.

If Apple were EU based company, they wouldn’t even think about blocking Palm.

Awesome, about time someone stuck two fingers up at Apple and the monopoly they have, it’s totally anti-competitive.

The iTunes update did not “brick” the Palm, and a single component of a system cannot be “bricked”. Bricking is when a device is rendered unusable and unserviceable, therefore becoming good for nothing but dead weight.

By the way, tabbing from the textarea takes the user directly to the Submit button, completely passing over the “notify me” checkbox. I didn’t look at the HTML code, but something is wrong there. Are you positioning it with CSS?

Wow they’re really going at each other with this. I have an iPhone and iTunes is the only music player I use, but if I had a Pre I would have been really mad about the block. I can’t say I blame Apple though, it’s still their program and they can do what they want with it. I can’t wait to see how this all plays out in the future.
