The Mozilla Firefox development team has finished the final version of Firefox 3.5. The new version is currently distributed to all official mirror websites with the official announcement expected to hit the web later today. No download portal is currently offering the new version for download which is surely going to change in the next hours once they get notice of the new release.
Once the release has been officially announced it can be downloaded from the Mozilla website or by using the built in update checker in the web browser. Considering that the release of the third release candidate of Firefox 3.5 is just a few days ago it is likely that there are not many considerable changes in this version compared to the release candidate.
No changelog has been posted yet to verify this statement. We took the liberty to upload Firefox 3.5 final US for Windows users to a free file host from where it can be downloaded. Users who need other language or operating system installers of the web browser might need to wait until the release becomes officially announced or uploaded to download sites.
You might be interested in the Firefox 3.5 feature set if you have not been using Firefox 3.5 yet (as you might have been waiting for a final release before doing so). You can take a look at the features at the Mozilla Wiki.

Well, thank you, Martin! Nine o’clock AM here, nice way to start the day :)
I agree. Cannot seem to see any differences at the moment to RC3 though ;)
Pretty cool, I’m waiting that moment to update my Firefox RC3 to the official and final Firefox release. Thanks for the notification.
cheers for the up martin…
I downloaded it off of Filehippo maybe 25 minutes ago.
But not sure if I want to install it on 2nd thought. Is it really stable? and have most/all add-ons been updated?
JoJo which version have you been using before? All add-ons that I use are working although I have to admit that I’m using the nightly tools which means I cannot really tell if they work out of the box or have to be forced to work.

Final 3.5
Just got it :)
@Martin – I’ve been using 3.0.11, which has been really stable for me. So don’t want to change early unless there will be some great benefit.
Well I have been using Firefox 3.5 for quite some time and it is definitely faster than Firefox 3.0x. Why do not you give the portable version a try and see how it turns out?
Does anyone here knows where do I get the Brazilian Portuguese version?
if you are scared why not download sandboxie http://www.sandboxie.com/
it allows you to install on your system without touching your system – iykwim.
the free version allows 1 sandbox – this is how i run ff2,ff3,ff3.5 & ie6,7,&8 at the same time.
I have the full version so they each have their own sandboxes.
also FF 3.5 does look nice and fast but they all do until you add plugins :)
thanks for the upload, martin :)
