Google’s Chrome browser hit the web yesterday. Whether you wanted to or not, you definitely downloaded Google’s effort to see what ingenuity they put into their browser. It’s clean, fast, and more stable than Firefox has been for me lately. Of course, there’s always a chance that Chrome will have a quirk that none of the other browsers have and you may need to use client side detection to fix the problem. Good thing this new tab feature is not implemented in Firefox : I dislike it. One of those stupid gadgets, IMO. Too many of these gadgets are on the row, when simplicity requires basic features enhanced in quality, not quantity. I omit already say 25% of Firefox’s 3.0.* “features”, and I presume that’ll raise to 50% on 3.5 …The “awesome” bar, the tags; the alt-tab wonderlands for instance remain an amount of bloated concepts, as far as I’m concerned.

google’s beta firefox addon, Googlebar 5 maybe, has this same feature.

With TabMixPlus, you have to set the new tab location to “chrome://jumpstart/content/tabView.xul”

For christ’s sake do your homework properly. That’s another Opera feature falsely attributed to Firefox.
