Samsung LED 7000

samsung led 7000I have to say that I’m very happy with my 42″ Samsung LCD TV although I’m not watching a lot of television. Samsung has shown off their new TV line LED TV Series back in January and some of the features look interesting. So interesting that I might consider ditching my old TV for a new one. The Samsung LED 7000 is one of the models of that series packed with features and technical innovations.

The television is sold in different sizes (as usual) including 46″ and 55″ with all models sharing the same feature set which includes energy efficient backlighting (lead and mercury free, energy star compliant), 1920×1200 Full HD support, 120 Hz Auto Motion Plus refresh rate and Internet connectivity.

The ultra slim design of the LED 7000 makes it an ideal candidate for a wall mount. Only one screw needed to mount the TV which makes the process easier and more efficient. A wireless or wired connection is available to connect the television to the network and the Internet. It can display widgets on screen that can display news or websites. Not sure if that is a killer feature but it might come in handy in certain situations.

What makes me consider buying the TV is the energy efficiency, the image quality and the wall mounting capability.

Which TV would you buy if you could select one?

I’m fine with my 29″ Sony CRT, I’m not into these widescreen stuff.
But I’d immediately change my desktop wallpaper for that great hummingbird picture in that Samsung LCD. Anyone knows if it is available somewhere?

I have a 46″ full HD samsung which i have my media center connected to.
It does rock but if the 55″ had a reasonable price point i would certainly consider a new purchase (and move the 46″ to the dinning room. :)

$3000.00 for a TV? I guess one of the benefits of getting older is loss of vision. I put my 42″ LCD next to my neighbors 42″ Plasma and besides the glare from his glass screen I couldn’t tell the difference in picture quality. My set is 720p his is 1080. I paid $699 (3 years ago) he paid $2k (last month).

I’ll let you young bucks spend your money on these new sets. I’ll keep dumping mine on the car. (Never heard a woman say ‘nice tv!’ but when I put up in my 1992 Honda Accord the girls go wild! ;)

    TV? What is TV? :)

I am waiting for 30″ monitors (Dell or something) to become more affordable.

There is the pic of the hummingbird! It’s a great background on the desktop!

I recently saw one of the samsung 7000 series led tvs and the picture and features are just amazing, but think ill be waiting for the samsung 8000 series with its 200hz refresh rates

  7. Currently the proud owner of a 42″ Toshiba LCD screen, but (if I had the money) I’d quite happily swap for a new 46 or 55″ LED screen.

Hooking up the PS3 to that would be amazing! Still trying to decide though if the internet widgets are a gimmick or a genuinely useful function.
