We have covered Rapidshare search tips and Rapidshare tools like Rapidshare Download Manager or Rapidshare Links Downloader before and the Rapidshare Download Accelerator adds itself to the impressive list of useful tools to make the most of the file hosting service. The software program is portable but requires the Microsoft .net Framework to be installed.
The tool accepts links to Rapidshare files which can be either pasted one by one or posted as a batch into the interface of the Rapidshare downloader. The tool will automatically display the added files in the list of downloads that are to be processed. There is only one further step that the user has to make before the downloads can be started: A one time configuration of the local download directory.
It surely cannot get easier than this. A click on the Start button will initiate the download of the first file in the list. The Rapidshare downloader will display the file name, status, download speed, downloaded size and total size of the current download in the interface. Completed files are added to the Files Finished list to provide an overview of the downloaded files to the user of the software program.
The wait time between downloads can take up to 15 minutes and the usual limitations apply. The software does not provide the means to reset the IP of the computer to be able to download additional files or to make use of premium accounts to use faster download speeds and experience less wait times and limitations.
The software (via Eches) can be downloaded from the developers website.

check the window title :S
ahaha,nice notice indy.That is funny.
Martin you allways writing that you a “heavy” (using it a lot) user from Rapidshare. Looking to the title of your download (from the picture here above) i know now more about you than i want to know.
I’m actually not using Rapidshare at all. The download was a test download. The choice of files was probably not the best but I picked the first files that I found on one of those Rapidshare Search sites.
After using this program once, rapidshare thinks I have been downloading the same file for the last 18 hours, despite my having rebooted and booted to different operating systems during that time.
Also, when you hit the nifty little red “x” to stop the program, it does not really stop.
Process Explorer keeps on running the process with an open TCP/IP connection to RS, unless you manually stop the program within PE.
While I love the idea of such a simple program, and really wish this worked, I have to be suspicious of any Windows program that does not manage to get the “close” feature to work correctly.
As it is now, this program has made it impossible for me to use the rapidshare service at all.
Nevermind. It seems to be quite well behaved now.
Marley, I’m with you.
I used this to (try to) download a 10-part file. It only got #1 and #7 successfully, with just a tiny stub for the others. After this, it wouldn’t start up again. I closed the app and restarted it, and same deal. I discovered that, as you noted, it does not shut down properly. So I killed it and restarted manually, to the same result.
So I tried to grab the next part manually, and it said that I was already downloading something (when the app claimed to have finished hours ago). I gave up for the night.
I came back this morning and tried again with the app. Still no luck. Why would it think that I was still downloading something?
So I rebooted my computer and tried again manually, and it still says that I’ve got a current download. I went to shower, come back a half hour later, and it STILL says there’s an active download.
Something really smells wrong now, and as you said, I can no longer use RapidShare at all, even manually.
Running full-system virus scan now…
Yes, the application just doesn’t work.
I had it get 3 of four complete, and give me the same partial download on the 4th, followed by being unable to use the service manually for a day.
Trying it again today, it downloaded 60 MB of a 100 MB file, and reported it as finished, then tried the next file.
Fortunately, i can just stop it now and ignore this “solution” that just does not work.
And, while I thought it was working properly yesterday, it indeed does not properly manage the “x” to close the program.
The author has a new version out, and is aware of the issues reported above.

Like this site quite a bit but with your review kindness of… QUOTE “…the Rapidshare Download Accelerator adds itself to the impressive list of useful tools to make the most of the file hosting service.”END QUOTE Then the seemingly astute Marley brought to attention that this app is dodgy at best.? He seems like hes b een here before, and might have some merit. i think he does.
what gives??
i downloaded the program as well, now i can’t even downoad anymore files, so how do i acutally stop it? so i can once again download files from Rapidshare!?!? please help
What is the name of the process to kill? I’m having the same issue. It gets hung and thinks I am already downloading a file and won’t let me use rapidshare. The only way I can stop it is to get a new IP from my provider and then I can use rapidshare.
I have the same problem: i can’t use rapidshare since yesterday because it says that my IP is already downloading something.
Please give me the tips to resolve my problem !
Thk you !

can u please put some other site to download it……
You may change temporarily your IP address by following these steps (sorry, do not work for dial-up connections):
For Windows:
Step 1
Go to add hardware (may be found in control panel, and elsewhere).
Click “Next”
Let it search for devices,
Then click: “Yes, I have already connected the hardware
Click “Next”
You will be given a choice of installed devices.
Go down the list and select:: “Add a new hardware device”
Click “Next”
Select: “Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)”
Select “Network adapters”
Click “Next”
Select “Microsoft” for manufacturers & “Microsoft Loopback Adapter” in the opposite list.
Click “Next”
The virtual device is installed.
Step 2
Open network connections (may be found in control panel, and elsewhere).
Select both your network adapter and the device installed above (press control key and click on both connection, or use your way to select them.
Right-click on any of the selected devices and select on the list: “bridge connections”
A third device should appear in the list. If you see it, Windows should have changed your IP address.
If you don’t have Windows, or if you have any problems, install a hypervisor, such as Sun Virtualbox, an open source (search in Google). It comes with a virtual device which you may use to bridge.
Can any one tell me if while downloading file if internet got disconnect then instead of downloading files from start ….will it download from point where it got disconnected?
