hi zippo .. keithy397from updatenotifier has the solution:

Type: about:config in the address bar. In the filter type: extensions.newAddons. If it exists change the value to false.

If it doesn’t exist you’ll have to add it:
Right click (in the about:config page) and select ‘New’ then ‘Boolean’ and in the box enter extensions.newAddons select ‘OK’ and finally select ‘false’.

yes stopping the addon dialog box from appearing is also what i’m looking for .. can’t find any solution

So now we will need to get updates for the UPDATE notifier…how redundant is that??

I want to know is how to stop the addon dialog box from appearing everytime an update has been installed??

I don’t mind the standard update process.

However, I would like to see Mozilla eliminate the restart requirement. I find that to be annoying.
