A new version of the popular email client Thunderbird is currently distributed to official mirror website which means it is usually only a matter of 12-24 hours before the announcement of the new release is published on the Thunderbird homepage. It takes another 12-24 hours before the build in update checker will notify the user about the available update of the email client. Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 is already available for download on the primary ftp server ftp.mozilla.org.
Downloads are provided for all supported operating systems and languages and it is only a matter of finding the right location. This can be confusing, here are a few direct links:
Windows US Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.19
Linux US Mozilla Thunderbird 2.0.0.19
Mac US Mozilla Thundebird 2.0.0.19
And the links to the folders that contain all language versions:
Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 Windows
Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 Linux
Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 Mac
The new version can be installed as usual. There are no release notes yet, they will most likely be published later today on the Mozilla Thunderbird website.
Update:
Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 fixes seven security vulnerabilities.

1) What’s changed? (probably bugfixes)
2) Please do not link to unannounced builds. They _do_ change before the announcement and could contain serious security / stability/ dataloss issues. Furthermore, by having users download the app you are preventing the mirrors from downloading the app. Yes, this is a problem.
The link is to the final build, not some beta or rc build.
@Martin: Those change too! Until Mozilla releases it, it is _not_released_.
Read this (specific to Fx2, but still relevant), and google if you need more info:

Dotan well then they should probably rethink their strategy of making parts of the ftp server public during releases. I’m merely point out what anyone can find out by themselves if they would go to the site on their own.
That argument has been addressed in the articles that I link to and others.
Why the hurry to announce? To be the first to announce, even at the possible expense of Mozilla and your readers? To show off 1337 hacking skills, how you found the software before it was released? What is the motivation?
