Okay…that is great..i love this imgaviewer, but are there any extra tools e.g. picture turner or something else (to edit)??

@Ronny: the trial key expires on Feb 24, 2009 as stated. On that date the program simply reverts to the Home Basic edition and continues to work.

I downloaded first the free basic version..then i registered it with you key and now its a trial for one day…

if the trial expire can i use this software in basic edition or not???

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for looking. The promo day went great with hundreds of Pro licenses being activated!

Hopefully some of you will return the favor and blog or post about your experiences (good or bad) with FastPictureViewer Professional!

Just to clear up one point: the Pro activation was valid only during the time specified in Martin’s article, i.e. for 24 hours starting from Sun 21 10:00 UTC.

The giveaway is now over (until next time ;-) and the key presented in the article registers the product as a trial version, functionally equivalent to the Pro version but expiring on Feb 24, 2009. It is not possible to use this key to register a Pro version anymore, which includes re-installation etc.

i get this now.

unlike xnview, faststoneviewer, and maxview,all of which are full featured image tools, this thing is actually just a viewer–a very good one–but, just a viewer.

and as to my context menu problem, i see now that it only appears when clicking folders. i think it’s very odd that you can’t use it to view a single image.

i’ll use this for browsing folders of scans and others containing only large images, but for general use the new picasa picture viewer is what i’ll be using. very fast, lots of features, very well designed, bonehead simple to use.

I dont agree. I tried loading a large picture file taken with Canon EOS 40D…It loaded with 88Megs of RAM and 88 Megs of Virtual memory compared to FREEWARE faststone viewer (www.faststone.org)uses 57 MB RAM only and same amount of virtual memory.
