1 no cd/dvd cracks are the best. it means i dont have to search thro my huge cd/dvd collection.
2 no annoying DRM.
3 easier too back up on my two 1tb hdd's
4 more convenient the going down to the shop
steam has a really good set up tho i cant complane about steam games except the price on some it makes no sense to pay the same price as store bought surly there saving money on the case, disk's,cover art, shipping, and manual

reason why i like piracy<br

If you purchase a game you get the DVD, the cover and if you are lucky a booklet. You also get copy protection that forces some ridiculous restrictions on you, like not being able to install the game more than a number of times or having to uninstall software on the PC before the game can be started.
Downloaders on the other hand apply a crack and get the same game for free, without all the hassles that the buyers get.
Does that sound like a good deal? I personally do not think so. Yes, there is a moral component to it but there is also the question about the damage that is done if someone downloads and plays a game that he would never purchase.

Game companies seem to be one of the factors why the unauthorized distribution of games is so popular these days.
