I used to backup my profiles manually before (in %appdata%/Opera/Opera/profile). This tool from Tamil could be handy.
Opera Link is nice, but sometimes it messed up when I tried to sync it with multiple computers.

There’s a similar program called Opera Fly, and it can be used to backup almost everything in Opera, including Mail. Tool probably serves some specific purpose for its developer but I don't really see it as useful.

Bookmarks and notes can be easily saved “into cloud” with Opera Link.
