Update: I guess you can create a a partition with the same size for that, but it seems simplier to me to copy it to a bigger HDD partition (with more free space).

Question of the million, can it copy to a smaller partition as well?
If it can it may work as a roughly one-time backup restore utility as well but uncompressed. Though as for eleven comment it seems Easeus Todo backup it´s a better choice.

Easeus Disk Copy can only do sector by sector copy, and Easeus another backup freeware Easeus Todo backup is more powerful, it enables you to clone the entire disk fast both in windows and bootable CD by file level or sector level. Support bootable media based on WinPE .

Question : if i copy my hole HD (where the OS is) to another HD (bigger) … can i boot my OS from that one without any problems … because i didn’t understand very well this part “The computer has to be booted from the CD drive to run the disk copy software”

In fact I did it myself + resized system partition to bigger size.

To run this software you have to burn it to CD and boot from that CD. But after сopying you can boot from new HDD.
