Gpass was developed by World’s Gate, Inc that is an oversea Chinese company, they against Chinese government internet censorship. Now, it becomes an international company, Gpass is not only for Chinese people, that is also popular around the world. I personal think Gpass is good for regular surf website but not enough for watch stream media.

can anyone say how this compares to Tor? is it as secure? is it any faster?

Syber says:

I think to use Gpass is easier than Tor. The speed that depends on what you use for, if you just want surf some websites Gpass is fast.

garbanzo says:

well i use OperaTor which is all pre-configured, it really doesn’t get much easier. it’s a portable app, so just download, run, and you’re surfing securely…

Syber says:

garbanzo,Gpass is also pre-configured. You do not need to do anything, just double click icons that already in right lane, like Firefox, IE, some media players, Flashget. If you run Opera you can add it into right lane, and click Opera icon, that all. The best point is Gpass allows you add other software which access internet.

Thanks

Do you really think there is only one source for news? If I find it on another website I usually mention it. Think before you start throwing ridiculous accusations around.

Don’t lik eGPass because it constantly cuts off/drops a server and the application itself crashes or stops working.
